Folgaria

Folgarìa (Folgaria in Trentino, Folgrait in Cimbro, Vielgereuth in German) is a village of about 3,200 inhabitants in the province of Trento, located at an altitude of 1168 meters and is part with the municipalities of Lavarone and Luserna, of the Magnifica Comunità of the Cimbri Highlands. The municipality of Folgaria is composed of seven main hamlets (Costa, Serrada, Guardia, Mezzomonte, San Sebastiano, Carbonare and Nosellari) to which are added smaller hamlets (Pont, Ondertol, Dori, Molino nuovo, Forreri, Ca nove, Molini, Peneri, Fontani, Scandelli, Sotto il soglio, Carpeneda, Mezzaselva, Erspameri, Francolini, Fondo grande, Fondo piccolo, Strokes, Nocchi, Perpruneri, Tezzeli, Morganti, Cueli, Liberi, Buse, Busatti, Dazio, Prà di Sopra and Virti) distributed in the Rio Cavallo valley and in the upper Astico valley (Buse).

Winter

The Alpe Cimbra is one of the most popular destinations during the winter season in Trentino as it collects a vast number of ski slopes! For lovers of snow and sports typical of low temperatures this is really the ideal destination! The main ski resorts of ALPECIMBRA are located in the localities of Fondo Grande, Fondo Piccolo, Serrada, Costa, Ortesino and Francolini, while the cross-country skiing ring is located in Passo Coe. The Skitour dei Forti consists of a total of 104 km of slopes, also equipped with a snowmaking system if nature is not so generous!
